Shoebox playset

*Clears throat and puts on YouTube voice*

HI GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG PAGE!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been preparing for my life update which is me moving to CHINA ! I currently moved here to teach English as a foreign language.

I did two weeks training in Shunyi, Beijing where I was with about 60 other people from the British council. I meet some amazing people. As part of my training I had to teach for 3 hours a day, for 10 days. I had the opportunity to teach at No.5 Shunyi Summer School, teaching class 1.

Group 4, the winning group

I got my students to re-write the play Goldilocks and the three bears. In groups they all changed the character of Goldilocks and changed the bears into something of their choice. I made them think of a new setting other than the forest. Lastly they had to change the porridge into a different food that their new character will eat instead.

Once the kids had rewrote their plays I got them to design a set, as if we was to do the play on stage what will the stage design look like. Here are some of the amazing examples.

If you want to try this at home you will need:

-A shoebox

-Sissors

-Glue

-Sellotape

-Coloured paper

-Coloured pen

-You can use over crafts like: cotton wall for clouds; sting to make things hang things
